Graduate Economic Researcher

This company is a well-established macro-economic forecasting survey firm. They have over 30 years of experience in serving their clients and providing country-specific forecasts and topical analysis. They also offer specialised publications on foreign exchange forecasts and energy, metal and agricultural price forecasts.

Opportunity: My client is seeking an economic researcher to join them in writing country analyses and developing data. As an assistant editor for some of their eight periodicals, you will have the opportunity to work in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

They are looking for a graduate in economics, possibly with some professional work or research experience, and who has the ability to write clearly and concisely in English for a non-specialist audience.

Requirements:

  • The ideal applicant should feel comfortable in a quiet, research-based London company, which is the world leader in economic survey analysis and publishing.
  • 2:2 equivalent level or above (or equivalent) in a relevant degree subject.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English (both written and oral).
  • Comfortable in both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Should live in or around London. The role is 100% working from their offices in central London.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages, in particular, Excel, Word and additional software skills would be advantageous.
  • You should have a strong work and team ethic, and transferable intensity and focus gained via previous work experience, whether that is in hospitality, retail or similar.
