Software Engineer – Salesforce Platform

Build and evolve enterprise Salesforce solutions within a globally recognised business undergoing significant technology transformation. You’ll own technical delivery, solve complex problems and help shape scalable, secure applications.

The Company

We’re working with a globally recognised organisation operating at the intersection of technology, commerce and a highly specialised international market. Its technology function supports a complex enterprise environment, with teams delivering large-scale transformation and modernising critical business applications. Based in London, the role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering, architecture, product and business teams, with genuine ownership across the application lifecycle.

The Role

As a Software Engineer specialising in Salesforce, you’ll design, develop, test and support solutions across an evolving enterprise Salesforce estate. You’ll work closely with Technical Leads, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Architecture teams, taking ownership of technical work from refinement and design through to deployment.

You’ll contribute to Salesforce development, integrations, automation and application enhancements while helping establish maintainable engineering standards. The role combines hands-on development with opportunities to influence technical decisions, improve delivery practices and contribute to wider technology transformation.

  • Build scalable Salesforce solutions, custom functionality and platform enhancements.
  • Develop Apex-based functionality, automation and Lightning components.
  • Design integrations between Salesforce and internal or external systems.
  • Investigate technical issues across development, testing and production environments.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical designs, documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Improve engineering standards, reusable components, automation and DevOps practices.

Benefits and Perks

You’ll join an organisation that combines a high-performance technology environment with substantial investment in employee wellbeing, flexibility and long-term support.

  • 25 days’ annual leave + birthday leave, plus additional leave at five-year anniversaries.
  • Christmas office closure, providing almost two additional weeks away from work.
  • Discretionary annual bonus linked to business and individual performance.
  • Pension contribution with employer double matching up to 5% of salary.
  • Private health insurance, with subsidised family cover.
  • £400 annual Flexible Fitness Fund and Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Volunteering day and donation matching of up to £500 per year.
  • Life insurance, income protection, dental cover and Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Family support, eldercare services and access to employee retail and lifestyle discounts.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Software engineering, application development or Salesforce platform experience.
  • Experience with a modern programming language such as Apex, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
  • Understanding of APIs, data modelling, version control, testing and CI/CD.
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration, automation, Apex and SOQL/DML.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
