The Role
As a Barista, you’ll help bring the Starbucks experience to life during every shift. You’ll prepare handcrafted drinks, serve food, speak with customers and contribute to a clean, organised and welcoming store.
You’ll work alongside other store partners to manage both quieter periods and busy service times. By learning customers’ preferences and responding to what is happening around you, you’ll help create positive moments that encourage people to return.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Preparing handcrafted beverages, whole-bean coffee and food in line with Starbucks recipes and presentation standards.
- Welcoming customers, taking orders and delivering attentive service.
- Building genuine connections with customers and learning the preferences of regular visitors.
- Supporting opening and closing procedures where required.
- Handling payments and following cash, safety and security processes.
- Keeping customer areas and workspaces clean, safe and organised.
- Working closely with other partners to maintain service during busy periods.
- Anticipating customer and store needs and sharing relevant information with the wider team.

You should have:

- A reliable approach to attendance and punctuality.
- The ability to work calmly and positively during busy periods.
