The Role
As a Technical Engineer placement student, you’ll gain hands-on experience across different areas of the technology industry while working alongside TPP’s technical team.
The placement is designed for students who enjoy solving problems and want to explore more than one technical discipline. Depending on your interests and the needs of the team, your experience may cover:
- SQL Server database administration.
- Cybersecurity and computer networks.
- Personal and enterprise computer hardware.
- Windows and server administration.
- Designing and maintaining technical services.
- Supporting upgrades and improvements to systems used by healthcare organisations.
You’ll be encouraged to contribute actively rather than simply observe. This will give you practical experience of maintaining important technology, troubleshooting problems and supporting services used in real healthcare environments.

Requirements
You must:
- Be currently studying a computer-related degree.
- Have achieved at least ABB or AAC at A level.
- Have studied either Maths or IT at A level.
You should also:

- Have a genuine interest in technology.
- Be interested in at least two of the technical areas covered by the placement.
- Be comfortable learning and contributing in a fast-paced working environment.
