What type of things will I be working on?
This summer placement offers a unique opportunity to join Renishaw’s Materials Analysis and Research departments, which provide vital global support to all of our Product Divisions.
As part of this dynamic team, you’ll play an integral role in assisting engineers with the design and development of innovative new products, the enhancement of existing ones, and the optimization of internal processes. Throughout the placement, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience across a range of exciting areas, including:
- Carrying out analytical material analysis techniques
- Provide engineering material property advice, selection
- Provide laboratory support

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
Ideally you will be a sixth form or university student studying STEM subjects with an interest in Materials Science.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
