Whitbread is the UK’s largest operator of hotels and restaurants, home to Premier Inn, Beefeater, Brewers Fayre and more. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a fresh opportunity, their apprenticeships offer a real job, real pay and a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll be part of a business that’s been thriving for over 280 years – and they’re just getting started.
Why Whitbread
Hospitality at Whitbread is all about heart. The culture is welcoming, inclusive and full of opportunity. Apprenticeships are open to everyone, with no barriers to entry and no limits to ambition. Whether you’re front of house, behind the scenes or in the Support Centre, you’ll be part of a diverse team that’s passionate about making people’s day. Programmes are delivered in partnership with Lifetime Training to ensure high–quality learning and development.
Your Role
As an apprentice, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll work in a full–time or part–time role while gaining skills across multiple areas – from reception and housekeeping to kitchens and customer service. In the Support Centre, apprenticeships cover over 20 roles including Marketing, Data, and Software Engineering. You’ll be supported by trainers, managers and mentors, and earn the same as your teammates, because learning shouldn’t mean earning less.
Company Culture
Whitbread fosters a culture of inclusion, growth and hospitality. Apprentices are part of a team of 35,000 Partners, each bringing unique energy and ideas to the business. You’ll be supported by structured learning, peer networks and the Whitbread Academy, with opportunities to develop across 66 different roles – from fishmongering to AI. Apprentices are celebrated through events like National Apprenticeship Week and Partner stories shared across the business.
Benefits
Whitbread apprentices enjoy a wide range of perks from day one. These include 25% off at all Whitbread brands, discounts for family and friends, £2 meals in hotels and restaurants, and subsidised lunches at the Support Centre. You’ll also receive an NUS discount card, access to Whitbread Perks at Work (cinema, travel, shopping), and earn WOW Points, an online currency you can cash out into your bank account. Additional benefits include long service rewards, Sharesave schemes and exclusive access to Partner–only experiences.
