You will gain exposure to multiple areas of finance, supported by experienced professionals, while working towards recognised qualifications. This programme is designed to build your technical knowledge, develop your confidence in a business environment, and provide clear long-term progression opportunities within one of the UK’s most important infrastructure organisations.
About Network Rail
Network Rail manages and maintains Britain’s railway infrastructure, ensuring millions of passengers and goods reach their destinations safely and efficiently. The organisation plays a vital role in keeping the country connected and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce. With a strong focus on development and progression, Network Rail invests in early-career talent to help shape the future of the business.
The Role
In your first three years, you will rotate across a range of placements and a variety of departments, giving you a unique experience of how finance works within Network Rail. You will support finance teams with forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, as well as taking the lead on meetings and reporting to senior members of the company.
Combining a wide variety of live projects and off the job training you will hone your skills as a future leader. Training and Development
- You will complete AAT Bookkeeper Level 3 and Professional MAAT Level 4 qualifications as part of the programme. Group Finance apprentices will go on to complete the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Level 7 apprenticeship and gain Associate status.
- You will benefit from generous study support, structured development days, and opportunities to collaborate with other apprentices, alongside real responsibility in your day-to-day role.
Company Culture
You will be mentored and guided by former graduates and senior finance leaders, who will support your development.
