Apprenticeship Programme – Register Interest

John Lewis Partnership is the UK’s largest employee-owned business, home to two of the high street’s most loved brands – John Lewis and Waitrose. As a Partner, you’re more than an employee: you’re a co-owner, a contributor, and a changemaker. Their apprenticeship programmes are designed to help you build a career with purpose, passion, and progression. Thousands of Partners have already boosted their careers through these schemes, gaining nationally recognised qualifications and valuable experience.

Why John Lewis Partnership

JLP believes in doing business differently. Their values – integrity, respect, and responsibility – are at the heart of everything they do. Apprenticeships are part of the Partnership’s DNA, with a legacy dating back over a century. Today, they offer diverse pathways across retail, hospitality, distribution, data & analytics, HR, finance, and leadership. You’ll be joining a business that celebrates individuality, encourages innovation, and empowers you to shape your future.

Your Role

As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced Partners. You’ll be supported through structured training, mentorship, and real-world projects that build your confidence and capability. Whether you’re forecasting trends in merchandising, analysing customer data, managing logistics, or supporting teams, you’ll be learning while contributing meaningfully to the business. Apprenticeships are available at multiple levels, including Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, and Degree-level.

Company Culture

At the John Lewis Partnership, apprentices are more than employees – they’re Partners in a co-owned business. You’ll be part of a culture built on belonging, purpose, and lifelong learning. From day one, you’ll have a voice in how the business is run and access to mentoring, peer networks, and democratic structures that connect you to decision-makers. Apprentices are celebrated through events like National Apprenticeship Week, and supported by the Partnership Academy, which fosters growth across every role – from fishmongering to AI.

Benefits

JLP apprentices receive a wide range of benefits from day one. These include Partner discounts at John Lewis and Waitrose, paid study time, and access to the PartnerChoice app with hundreds of perks. You’ll enjoy flexible working options, wellbeing support (including physiotherapy, occupational health, and digital GP services), and generous leave policies – including 26 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave. Additional perks include subsidised tickets to events, exclusive access to Partnership hotels, tuition fee support, and membership in clubs and societies ranging from arts to skiing.
